Population development in the political district of Kutná Hora in the period of 1880-1910 Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of population development in the political district of Kutna Hora during years 1880-1910. The political district of Kutna Hora was divided in two judicial districts - Kutna Hora and Uhlirske Janovice. The area of Kutna Hora belonged to the Czech regions where changes of ongoing demographic revolution were implemented very soon. This was thanks to the district town where more job opportunities in industry and services occurred. The judicial district of Uhlirske Janovice belonged to the regions oriented more on agriculture. Handcraft and glass industry were traditional for the villages in this region. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the description of demography, the basic historical definition, the term birth rate, factors that influenced falling birth rates, knowledge about impact to social sphere and foreknowledge. The research part deals with the residents of the town Jindřichův Hradec and their opinion, attitudes and knowledge they have about falling birth rates. The research was carried out using quantitative research and the results are recorded in graphs. The aim of the research part was to find out what opinion the residents of town Jindřichův Hradec have about falling birth rates and the factors that caused falling birth rates. The main goal was divide into three parts, which were work out into 4 hypotheses. First aim: Find out what the resindets of Jindřichův Hradec are aware of about falling birth rates in Jindřichův Hradec and whether the fall in the birth rate also affects the social sphere, or how. Second aim : To find out the iinhabitants of residents Jindřicůhv Hradec about selected factors that caused falling birth rates. Third aim: To find out how the inhabitants of Jindřichův Hradec are informed about falling birth rates. Hypothesis 1 : The residents of Jindřichův Hradec are familiar with falling birth rates. Hypothesis 2: The residents of Jindřichův Hradec agree that the the birth rate fallen has impact on the social sphere. Hypothesis 3: The residents of Jindřichův Hradec usually deremine that the contraceptice extenstion is a factor that caused fallen in the birth rate. Hypothesis 4: The residents of Jindřichův Hradec agree that they are not sufficiently informed about the birth rate decline. H1, H2, H4 was confirmed. H3 wasn't confirmed.
Analysis of the main impacts of the decline in birth rates and their impact on the social area in the Jindřichův Hradec region.

The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the description of the demography, term of demography, basic historical definition, term birth.rate and fertility and so on. In the research section it´s conducted research among women in the reproduction period, who live in Jindřichův Hradec region. Research was conducted through a printed questionnaire and the results were written in graphs. The aim of the research section was to find out the main impacts, that caused falling birth rates in region Jidnřichův Hradec. The bachelor thesis contains three hypothesis. H1: The main reason of birth rates was fallen in Jindřichův Hradec region is unemployment. H2: The influences identified by theoretical knowledge coincide with the effects identified by the questionnaire method. H2 was hard to verify and it was not possible to determine whether it was confirmed or refuted. This is the reason why the partial aims were set to clarify hypothesis: Find out if women's educatium has an effect of birth rates was fallen in region Jindčichův Hradec. Next one to find out, if postponement birth rate has effect of birtrh reate was fallen in region Jindřichův Hradec. H3: The main reasons of birth rates was fallen in Jindřichův Hradec region is the extension of contraception. The trend shows that the H1 was not confirmed. Unemployment has minimal infulence of falling birth rate in region Jindřichův Hradec. Both partial aims was confirm by trend. Women's education and posponement birth rate have effext of falling birth rate, not the main one, but they have influens. H3 was confirm by trend. Extension of contraception is main reason why birth rate was fallen.

This bachelor thesis includes phenomenon of the last years, and it is about single mothers. In this time the number of divorces is increasing, the number of marriages is decreasing and there is more single mothers. Bachelor thesis contains the present economic and the present social status of single mothers. Bachelor work consists of a theoretical part. It focuses on who all are single mothers, their history, distribution, and so on. Here are compared to state programs to support single mothers Czech Republic and the European Union, in particular, the countries of Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, France and Holland.
Stories of roma mothers in the context of the current trends in birthrate

This bachelor work deals with birthrate of Romany mothers that exceeds the average birthrate. This work at first involves reasons which caused that the birthrate wanes in The Czech Republic since the year 1989. Next theme is about a woman-mother, her roles, position in society and above all in the family. Furthermore several interviews with eight Roman mothers of four and more children were conducted. At the beginning of the interview the respondents were asked to narrate their life stories why they are the mothers of more children. The interview shows 3 factors which caused that all eight women have thirty seven children overall. The original family, chance and a new partner. The work also contains the comparison of the results from this research and the results from dissertation written by Jana Valešová, who dealt with the birthrate of a women's sample from Brotherhood's Church.

Childbirth among women in East Africa - medical and social aspects of postnatal care

This thesis deals with the topic of childbirth and birth delivery in Eastern Africa. The theoretical part tackles mostly the high birth rates, midwifery and hygiene habits and rituals, health system, alternative approaches in midwifery care and traditional healing methods, post-natal care as well as high maternal and infant mortality rates. It uncovers the taboo topic of female circumcision and the impact that it has on giving birth. It furthermore describes a case of an especially complicated labour of a Ugandan girl called Fatima Mirembe who gave birth in a prison hospital. The practical part of this paper consists of a research survey that, using questionnaires, aims to find out what the women from the Ugandan Nyakyera Village and the communities nearby experience during and after the delivery and what the quality of local post-natal care is. It also describes the abortion rate in the area and common causes of abortions and it also describes the knowledge of the true story of Fatima Mirembe. The issue of infertility in the Czech Republic: an analysis of the success of assisted reproduction

The subject of my thesis is to analyze the evolution of the reproductive behavior of the Czech population to assess changes over time, especially after 1989 and to analyze the success of assisted reproduction in the Czech Republic in the period 2007 to 2013. It is divided into several parts. The first theoretical part describes the change in reproductive behavior after 1989, risk factors and causes of female and male infertility, possible tratments of diagnosed infertility and various methods of assisted reproduction. Another analytical part is dedicated to the evolution of fertility and the phenomenon of childlessness of young women. Some indicators are compared with selected European countries for an overall assessment. Subsequently are analyzed in detail the most widely used methods of assisted reproduction IVF, ICSI and kryoembryotransfer and of using indicators Pregnancy rate and Take-home baby rate is assessed their effectiveness. The thesis is supplemented by own research reproductive and family behavior on a selected sample of the Czech population.
Territorial diferenciance fertility in the Czech Republic

Abstract The main purpose of this following report is to describe and compare the development of fertility and abortions indicators in a particular time and than evaluate regional differences of these indicators in all the regions of Czech Republic. These regions will be than deliminated into several groups based on the similarity of the developement of fertility and abortions. The first part of this report is mainly focused on explanation of basic terms, delimination of indicators and description of the methods of adjusting these indicators. Second part describes the developement of aggregate fertility and abortions indicators and also specific levels of fertility and abortions since the beginning of 1990's. Third part is dedicated to delimination of Czech Republic regions after the NUTS classification and to the following analysis of fertility and abortions indicators in several regions of Czech Republic. These regions are than deliminated into several groups according the similarity of developments.
Parental contribution and birthrate in Czech republic in 1999-2012

The main theme of this bachelor work is the development the parental contribution and its relation to the number of births in the Czech Republic since 1993. Analysis of the the parental contribution is concerned with legislation and the amount the parental contribution. Increase or decrease of births, depending on the development of the parental contribution I will find by using data of fertility. By comparing the Czech Republic legislation of the parental contribution and parental leave with Great Britain and Sweden I will meet with great differences. Therefore, I propose a reduction the period of maternity leave, but due to better institutional framework Preschools and employers greater loyalty to mothers or fathers on parental leave.
